What are S Wave curtains?
S Wave curtains use a track that guides the heading into soft, symmetrical waves. The hardware stays hidden, so the fabric reads as one continuous drape. That look suits coastal, Hamptons and contemporary Brisbane interiors, and it makes ceilings feel taller on open-plan living rooms.
Fullness, drop and stack-back are set at the measure. A small error in spacing shows up as uneven waves, which is why we specify the track, fabric weight and install together.
S Wave compared with other headings
The heading changes how the curtain hangs. Designer curtains cover pinch pleat and box pleat when a room wants a more tailored line.

Sheer by day, blockout at night
S Wave headings work in sheer and blockout fabrics. Many Brisbane bedrooms and west-facing living rooms use two tracks: a sheer S Wave at the glass for filtered daylight, and a blockout S Wave behind it for darkness and privacy. That layered system is our double curtains page.
Wide spans and high ceilings can use a Novo N21 curtain motor on the same wave track, so the folds still travel evenly when you open them from a remote or by hand.
How the track and fullness are set
Ceiling-fixed track
The wave track sits on the ceiling or in a pelmet recess, so the fabric starts at the top of the wall. This suits floor-to-ceiling glass and rooms where you want the heading hidden.
Face-fixed track
The track mounts on the wall above the window when the ceiling is out of reach, a bulkhead is in the way, or a security screen needs clearance. We check bracket depth at the measure.
More fabric than ready-made
Ready-made packets often use less cloth, so the waves look flat once the curtain is closed. We set fullness for your track width so the S stays even across the glass and the stack stays tidy at the side.
Motor on wide spans
A long sliding door is easier with a Novo N21 than with a cord you cannot reach. The motor drives the wave track; the heading style stays S-fold.
